Here at The Baobab Tree we take the environment seriously. We are
currently working with Tree Aid, the UK's only forestry-focused development
charity providing funding and on-the-ground training and support to local
organisations in Africa.

Our products
The Baobab Tree tries to offer products that have a less damaging impact on the environment. We offer more eco-friendly alternatives for discerning consumers who are keen to find products that minimise the impact of their personal consumption.

Here at The Baobab Tree we evaluate our products and processes in order to understand the ‘eco-footprint’ that its manufacture, distribution and consumption will leave.
We believe in re-cycling rather than using precious resources on new production processes, which is why our cushions are made with vintage scarves. We try to minimise the number of new materials used in production.
The inner cushion pad and the material on the reverse of the cushion is often the only new products we use.
Our cushions are hand sewn by qualified seamstresses within the UK.
For our furniture we always use pieces that have been reclaimed by us, we do not believe in production of new furniture if we can give a vintage chair a new lease of life.
Where we do have to buy new products they are always sourced from companies in the UK. We try to use local suppliers where possible to minimise our emissions.
All written correspondence from The Baobab Tree is done with re-cycled paper and we try to use recycled packaging to send items out to you. Our packaging is minimal and simple to keep waste as low as possible.
Recycled: We are constantly looking for products & packaging made from reprocessed waste materials, as their consumption reduces waste whilst also preventing further drain on finite resources.
